- Place the Bark Control Pro in a place that has an UNOBSTRUCTED view from the device to the barking dog. Please Note: The Bark Control Pro will NOT work through solid objects like wood fences, glass, or thick shrubbery. And do not place the device too high above the dogs head or they will not hear the sound. Plug the device in or power it using a 9V battery (not included)
- MOST IMPORTANT STEP: Set the switch on the side of the device to AUDIO when setting up the sensitivity dial. This is so you can hear the Bark Control Pro being activated. You want to make sure that you are ONLY hearing that sound when the dog is barking. If you are hearing the sound when the dog is NOT barking, then the dial is too HIGH. If you are NOT hearing the sound when the dog IS barking, then the dial is too LOW.
- Set the sensitivity dial of the device according to the distance between the dog and the Bark Control Pro. (The dial is NOT a volume dial) If the dog is 10-15 ft away, only set the dial 1/4 of the way up. If the dog is 35 ft away, set the dial 1/2 way up. If the dog is 36 - 50 ft away, roll the dial all the way up. If the dog is more than 50 ft away then you will need to use the included remote control to activate the device.
- Once the dial is set up, you can flip the switch from 'audio' to 'ultra' so that only the dog will hear the sound. Then you can just leave the device to activate on its own, UNLESS the dog is more than 50ft away. Use the included remote option if the dog is MORE than 50ft away from the device.
